About this course

Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance, four GCSEs at grade 3(D) or above including English and maths. Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19, who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications. Alternatively you could have achieved a level 1 vocational qualification with level 1 or level 2 functional skills (English and maths).

Year 1

The Business Technical Diploma OCR level 2 is a 60-credit qualification that consists of five mandatory units plus five optional units. Some of the units you will study on the course are business organisations, financial forecasting for business, people in organisations, the marketing plan, verbal and non-verbal communications in business contexts, business communication through documentation, personal selling in business,
customer relations in business and business online.

Additional information

There are a variety of assessment methods such as report writing, leaflet creation and displays. You will also be required to take part in role-play assessments in our Business Office (Realistic Working Environment).
