Our MSc in Business Economics and Finance offers comprehensive study in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics combined with a specialisation in topics related to business and finance.
Through this course you will develop specialist knowledge in two important areas. Firstly, the Economics of the Firm and Human Resource Economics modules examine the importance of business issues in the study of economics, and modern developments in personnel economics. The second area of specialism focuses on a combination of the theory of finance and financial econometrics. The former will give you a thorough knowledge of modern finance theory, while the latter is directed towards the principal techniques applied to financial data.

It combines comprehensive coverage of core economic principles with a focus on their application in the context of business and corporate finance.
Applicants should normally hold a minimum of a high UK 2:2 or overseas equivalent in single honours Economics.
Applicants who have a joint degree in Economics and a related discipline, or a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or Computer Science should normally hold a UK 2:1 degree or overseas equivalent.
