Business EDEXCEL BTEC Certificate Level 3

This project based course will help you explore and investigate the different types of businesses that exist, and how they manage themselves, in an increasingly complex and competitive modern business world.

This course is highly practical in nature and, as there are no examinations, is particularly suited to students who prefer to be assessed through coursework. It offers you the opportunity to learn about business through focused assignments based on real local and national businesses. You will develop an understanding of business concepts and theories, by seeing them in practical situations.

This course can be studied as a full Diploma - equivalent to 4 GCSES, an Extended Certificate equivalent to 2 GCSEs or a Certificate equivalent to 1 GCSE. BTECs are graded at Distinction. Merit and Pass which are equivalent to grades A - C at GCSE.

Ideally we would be looking at the equivalent of 3 GCSEs at grade D or above for entry onto the course, or a related vocational course at level 1. If you need to boost your grades in English and Maths then this would be included in the design of your individual study options. In all cases we would look at individual circumstances and take any work experience into account at the interview stage.
