Course Description
Designed to develop the essential skills and knowledge required for employment in the contemporary commercial and business world, the programme is both active and practical. As well as developing business competencies students will have the opportunity to develop their personal effectiveness and increase their employment potential. Assessment of the programme is by regular coursework.

Preferred Entry Requirements
Ideally 1 Higher Grade pass which should demonstrate good communication skills. Alternatively a range of SQA NC modules or NQ units (or equivalent) supported by relevant work experience. Entry by informal interview.

Course Content
Aspects of Business Organisation Legal Aspects Finance and Economics Information Skills. The HND also allows students to develop their skills in specialist areas such as Marketing and Human Resource Management.

Employment within the finance function of a range of organisations and Progression to related Degrees, HND Accounting and professional qualifications.
