About this course

Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance. A GCSE in English and / or Maths at grade 4 (C) or above is required.



Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19 who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.

Course programme

Year 1

During the course, you will study six units (60 credits) that will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to enter the workplace or progress onto a diploma programme. Some of the units you will study are business environment; finance; introduction to marketing; business communications; quality management systems in logistics; transport planning; operations management of road transport; transport systems in the environment; and recruitment and selection. Successful completion leads to a qualification in its own right (Business/Logistics BTEC Subsidiary Diploma).
