The Business of Freelance Makeup Artistry

This unique course teaches the business skills required to build a lucrative career and succeed in the world of freelance makeup artistry. This professional short course dissects all aspects of the industry, how it works and how to work successfully within it, the information often only touched upon on practical courses. It has been designed for new and aspiring makeup artists looking for information on how to navigate the world of freelance makeup artistry, as well as for more seasoned artists looking to improve their current careers.

This in-depth course reveals the secrets it takes makeup artists years of industry experience to learn. Find out how to build an effective portfolio, how to promote yourself within the industry, how to negotiate fees, gain agency representation, build your kit and much more. As this is a small group of students, there will be plenty of opportunity for one-to-one tutor advice on careers in the industry. (This course is aimed at those wishing to pursue a career in makeup for bridal/private clients, fashion, celebrity or commercial work. It does not cover the world of TV and film makeup artistry.)

Level:

This course is suitable for both beginners and those with makeup experience.

Booking:

Your course place is confirmed once you have booked online or via the phone using a credit or debit card. There is no deadline for booking. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis, and all courses have a maximum number of students. We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.
