Construction and the Built Environment - Electrical
C&G 2391 - 10, Inspection, Testing and Cert of Electrical Inst. Level 3 Course starts September 2009(2010/2011)
Study Method:
The course will cover the theory and practical elements of Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations. You will require copies of:
On-Site Guide
17th Ed Regs
IEE Guidance Notes III
Duration :10 weeks, 2 evenings per week (Tue & Thur 6-9).
Who the Course is For:
This course is for electricians who have responsibility for the quality of the inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
Cost: Approx. 635 + 30 College Registation. Cost concession not available.
Assessment:
Assessment is by external City & Guilds written examination of 2 1/2 hours duration taken at the end of the course. Additionally candidates will undertake a practical assessment within the College on a certified installation which lasts approximately 4 hrs. This assessment is assessed by the College. A PASS grade is required in both assessments for the full certificate.
Course Leads To:
Candidates who are successful will be deemed to be competent at the testing and inspection of electrical installations. There are no programmed further courses, but should you require approved electrician status the NVQ Level 3 Installing Electrotechnical Systems is available.
