Overview of the course:

The Advanced L3 Technical Diploma in Animal Management replaces the current A level equivalent courses. This qualification aims to prepare learners for a career in the varied animal care industry or for progression to university in a related subject.
In the first year of the course you will find out about the feeding, behaviour, health, welfare and breed development of animals as well as how the specialist care of exotic animals and develop an animal training programme for a dog. You will also study fundamentals of science and animal biology to help understand how the animal body works. In the second year you will choose either the science route if you plan to study at university or the animal husbandry route if you plan to seek employment in the animal care industry.
