This qualification is designed for learners who would like to work as a Cabin Crew member. The qualification aims to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of:
- The role of cabin crew
- Airline health, safety and security
- How to respond to planned and unplanned emergencies on board an aircraft
- Selling products and services to passengers
- Making passenger announcements on board aircraft
Course Content
The qualification consists of 6 mandatory units:
- Unit 1 Working as cabin crew.
- Unit 2 Airline health, safety and security.
- Unit 3 Aircraft emergency situations.
- Unit 4 Dealing with passengers on board an aircraft.
- Unit 5 Cabin service – selling techniques.
- Unit 6 Making passenger announcements on board aircraft.
What are the Entry Requirements?
English GCSE C grade or above plus 3 other GCSEs at C or above
or Level 2 BTEC First Diploma with Functional Skills English at level 1
What can I do next?
On completion of this course, providing learners are 18 years of age and are be between 5’2″ and 6′.2″ in height, they will have the opportunity to apply for work within the airline industry as a cabin crew member. Learners who achieve this qualification could progress onto similar further education qualifications such as the Resort Representatives NCFE Level 2 Award.
