About this course
This one-year full-time course provides a broad training in research and prepares students for a research career in cancer biology. Our emphasis is on a research-orientated approach, and the programme comprises both theoretical and practical elements. The course embraces cutting-edge developments in the field, and you will experience some of the most technologically advanced approaches currently being applied to the broad field of cancer research. The Department is now offering a new stream, Cancer Informatics, which broadly covers the handling and analysis of data and is a desirable skill for postgraduate studies in biological fields. You can achieve the award of MRes Cancer Biology (Cancer Informatics) by applying to MRes Cancer Biology, and opting for the new stream. Those not opting for the Cancer Informatics stream will graduate with the award of MRes Cancer Biology.
All applicants must apply online. You can usually apply for up to two courses, although your second choice will only be considered if your first-choice application is unsuccessful. Most courses don't have a formal closing date, but popular courses close when they are full, so you should apply early to avoid disappointment. There may also be funding deadlines that apply to you. You will need to upload documents with your applications, which may include transcripts and degree...
