Nursing Studies: Adult Nursing, BSc - 2016/17

What I would highlight:
I finished my Nursing Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University last month. I really enjoyed my time there on the nursing course.. Plenty of good memories and times... Just an amazing experience, I have no regrets. These past three years have set me up for the rest of my life. I chose this university based on its location, wide open campus and that the course I wanted to do was interesting. I enjoyed my time as an undergraduate here, which further reinforced my decision to do a post-graduate. Also there were over 50 pubs within the city walls - now come on!

Nursing Studies: Adult Nursing, BSc - 2016/17

What I would highlight:
Practice placements were definitely the best part of the course. Gaining experience in different clinical areas was really interesting. The opportunity to work as part of a team is great and it helps with the transition from student to qualified nurse.
What could be improved:
I personally felt that the balance between academic modules such as ethics and research, were focused on a lot more than practice related modules. Knowledge and understanding of these subjects is really important in our line of work, however I felt there was a lot more time spent on this, and no where near enough time spent on areas such as anatomy and physiology and pharmacology. I feel that more knowledge of these subjects would have Increased my confidence when starting out in the profession.
