What I would highlight:
This university brings so bad experience to me that I had to drop a course in between. The campus I too large making a huge distance between the residence to the lecture buildings. They don’t have enough lecture rooms, old buildings which need to get refurbished. Because of the not very short and not very long gap in between the classes I had to spend the time either at the library or students union. Teachers don’t know how to teach and encourage the students for the subject.

University life is unbelivable: there are events, sports societies, everything a student would need. The University is very well organized in all aspects, from accomodation to libraries, and the number of international students are too much.

What I would highlight:
I think the most important thing for every PhD-student is to have a supportive and knowledgeable supervisor. Thus I would strongly advice to be in contact with the prospective supervisor before starting the programme, and if possible to visit the faculty. Cardiff University is a thriving university in a charming and lovely city. It's academic reputation is excellent.

It is a bit difficoult to find cheap flights from Bristol airport, but Birmingham and London are easily reacheable by train.

The campus of Cardiff University is very close to the city which brings a plus point to the university along with other amazing facilities. Students union is great and the clubs offer a number of things to do.
