About this course
On graduating, students have the opportunity to top up to the BA (Hons) Social Inclusion at The University of Wales Trinty Saint David.
A related Level 3 qualification with good literacy and numeracy skills, preferably with a grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
During the course, you will be required to undertake a minimum of 200 hours of work-based learning in Year 1 and 400 hours in Year 2 so you will need to be employed in an appropriate sector (ie social services, health care settings, voluntary organisations, probation service or family centres).

Course programme
This course is delivered over two academic years. In Year 1, you will attend college on a Tuesday 4pm-9pm and a Thursday 3pm-9pm.

- Contemporary issues in social housing

- Advocacy and empowerment
- Planning for intermediate care
Level 5 modules (year two):
- Integrating research within health and social care

- Safeguarding children, young people and adults
- Engaging with care and support services
- The management of change within care and support services
- Employment experience 2
Assessment will be based on written assignments and observed practice within the classroom.
