About this course
You must be aged over 19 and have lived in the EU for the past 3 years and currently be living in England. There is a short initial assessment to complete to ensure the course is the right level for you. If you are aged 19-24 you must already hold a full level 2 qualification.

Year 1
The course consists of the following six mandatory units:
Unit 1: Understanding person-centred thinking and planning
Unit 2: Care planning for the care worker
Unit 3: Principles of supporting personal hygiene
Unit 4: Understand nutrition and hydration
Unit 5: Understanding continence care
Unit 6: Principles of supporting sleep
Topics covered represent the most common activities covered within a care plan but it is not an exhaustive list. On completion you should be able to transfer your knowledge and understanding of recording requirements to any element of an individual’s care plan.
