Course programme

The NVQ is related directly to your job role and helps you to reflect on your performance at work and review your working practices. It provides a personal development opportunity and enhances efficiency within your organisation. Candidates must achieve a minimum of 45 credits. Completion of the mandatory units will provide 30 credits. The remainder will be achieved by completing a selection of optional units (depending on credit value and rules of combination). Your Assessor will guide you on the selection of appropriate units. Mandatory Units: Preparing to work in the career information, advice and guidance sector Reflecting on practice and continuous professional development Interview clients to determine their need for career information, advice and guidance Meeting the career-related information needs of clients Career choice theories and concepts to support clients. Optional Units: 15 additional credits will be obtained from a variety of optional units. Your Assessor will help you to identify the most appropriate units for your individual role.
