About our CACHE Course in Caring for Children This child care course builds an understanding of the essential knowledge and skills needed to care for children. It covers children's growth, learning and development, and also includes units to build self-development. This course is suitable for anyone wishing to, or already working in child care, as well as anyone wanting to develop parenting and life skills. This course is listed on the QCF (QRN: 501/1015/9) and will award you 37 credits upon successful completion. What Could I Do After Completing This Course in Caring for Children? CFC 24: Practical health and safety when with young children

CFC 25: Finding out about Forest Schools

Unit 5:

CFC 26: Craft activities for young children

CFC 27: Understanding learning and development through play

HL1: Healthy living

Unit 6:

CFC 20: Healthy eating for families

CFC 1: Confidence building for the young child through play

CFC 2: Listening to and talking with a young child

Study Hours

This is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.
