Who is this course for?
If you're interested in both Carpentry and Joinery and would like an introduction to both aspects of the trade this will be the perfect course for you. You'll carry out workshop activities working on your own and in a group to produce pieces of work and also have some lessons in the classroom as well as using computers. You'll work with hand tools and learn about particular products. Vital Health and Safety practice is also taught so you're well aware of what standards the industry expects. You'll also complete functional skills in English, Maths and IT.
What other experience will I gain?
In addition to your studies you'll enter the Construction Skills Certification Scheme which is an industry standard form of proving your level of skill and training in the industry.
