Learn a new trade with this flexible online course. Gain a detailed understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of carpentry with this helpful course from Open Study College.

This Carpentry and Joinery Level 3 course focuses on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills required in the Carpentry sector. It will teach you how to properly handle wood and transform different types of wood into unique, handcrafted items.

This course is conveniently designed for home study, so you can study whenever and from wherever you would like. The course will take approximately 80 hours to complete and will be assessed through a series of written assignments. There is no time limit to complete the requirements, so you can work at your own pace. You'll also have access to friendly, experienced tutors who will guide you every step of the way.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a level 3 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 3 on The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. NCFE is recognised as an Awarding Organisation by the qualification regulators for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
