Carry and Deliver Goods NVQ
(National Vocational Qualifications) Level 2

Van Hee currently provides training and assessment to achieve National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ). The NVQ is based upon the capability of the individual to do a job.

Competence is assessed through observation of practical work supported by oral questioning and project work against nationally recognised standards, developed by industry.

NVQ’s differ from more traditional forms of qualification in that they are not time served and there are no formal examinations involved in their achievement, therefore the more effort that is put in by the candidate, the faster they can complete the qualification and become qualified.

Structure of the qualification
The Carry and Deliver Goods NVQ Level 2 consists of 6 Mandatory Units and 1 Optional Unit.

All units are required to achieve the qualification.

Additional units can be achieved if required.

• U5000371 Maintaining the safety and the security of the load, self and property.

• U1050377 Contribute to the provision of customer services.

• U5001010 Complete pre-journey and post-journey procedures.

• U5000378 Planning the route and timings for the delivery and collection of loads.

• U1016070 Transport goods and materials.

Optional Units

• U5001011 Handling goods and materials.

• U5001012 Handling goods (Motorcycle and pedal cycle).

Additional Units

• U5001013 Dealing with payment transactions.

• U1052395 Operate specialised plant and machinery to performance requirements.

• U1052399 Lift, transfer and position loads.

For candidates involved in the transport and delivery of goods by light vehicle, van, motor cycle or pedal cycle.
