Course Objectives
A one-day introductory course based on compliance with the revised CDM Regulations 2007
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
Understand the role of the CDM
Regulations in the context of other relevant regulations. Understand the principle general management requirements relating to construction and building projects - planning, information, competence, cooperation and co-ordination as set out in the revised CDM regulations.
Understand the new duties and roles of duty holders which includes Clients, Designers, Coordinators (previously Planning
Supervisor), Principle Contractors and Contractors.
Understand the 2007 requirements in respect of notifiable and non-notifiable projects and the responsibilities of duty holders.

· Overview of regulations linked to the CDM 2007 regulations.
· Responsibilities of all persons concerned in the management of construction and building projects.
· The revised Approved Code of Practice 2007.
· Principles of competence assessments as required by CDM 2007.
· Health and Safety pack.
· Construction phase Health and Safety Plan.
· Health and Safety files.
· Project notification
