What will I study on the course?

The course will consist of a mixture of practical walking days with some classroom theory sessions, where all areas of outdoor leadership, group management, planning as well as map reading and navigation, will be explored.

Additional information

10 days of training (1 day a week over a 10 week period) and a 3 day expedition make up the training part of this qualification. Each candidate is then given a personal action plan and a consolidation period follows, which must include voluntary walking leadership days with groups. A 3 day assessment is taken after this consolidation period.
