About this course

No formal qualifications are required however, you will have an interview and initial assessment. Following a successful interview and initial assessment results, you will be allocated a place to study the practical and theoretical elements of bricklaying. Parents and carers are welcome to attend the interview but not the initial assessment

Course programme

What will I study on the course?

The basic hand skills associated with brick laying which will enable you to carry out basic brickwork projects and repairs including:

- Half brick walls

- Cavity walls

- Block Work

You will also study a basic understanding of Health and Safety within the workplace

Additional information

The course is delivered over two and a half days per week for 1 Year, consisting of both theory and practical units. The main enrolment period for this course is in September but there may also be the opportunity to start the course at other times if places are available.
