PROHEALTH TRAINING CPCAB Level 2 Counselling Skills Certificate

This CSK-L2 qualification is for learners who want to learn counselling skills to help and support others, either in a voluntary or employed capacity. It will not qualify them to be counsellors, but it will give them useful skills which will be useful in a variety of roles and may help them decide whether or not they want to train as a counsellor The course is a Level 2 nationally recognised qualification which has an induction session and then runs for 33 weeks.

Each session last for 3 hours and has a ½ hour tutorial slot, which can take place before or after the session, depending on the time of day. The taught hours total 102 with 17 hours of tutorials. Compulsory tutorials will take a study based format related to the course material. Further to this you will need to undertake 2 hours of self study per week. You may request additional tutorials for personal support should you be experiencing difficulties of a personal nature. CSK-L2 is validated by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central awarding body (CPCAB). Proficiency is assessed internally by your course tutor throughout the course and externally by the awarding body.

CPCAB and Prohealth Training require that you attend a minimum of 80% of the taught course in order to meet necessary guidelines.
