You should hold qualifications at NVQ Level 3 or above alongside significant work experience in the vocational area you inted to teach.
You should be in paid employment, as a techer or trainer, for a minimum of 50 hours per year at a recognised training or educational establishment. Voluntary teaching / training may also be acceptable in some circumstances, subject to DBS clearance . In all circumstances; your are required to identify a work-based mentor who can support you in your subject specialism.
