The word 'chromo' is derived from Greek, which means 'color' . The word 'therapy' means 'curative treatment'. The term chromotherapy literally means curative treatment by means ofcolours. Chromotherapy is also known as chromopathy is also known as chromopathy, colour therapy, light therapy, Heliotherapy or colourology.

Chromotherapy or colour therapy is one of the alternative systems of medicine based on seven colours ( Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red, abbreviated as VIBGYOR) of the solar spetrum or colour spectrum.It is a method of treatment of diseases / disorders using colours. According to this system, the cause of any disease / disorder could be traced to the lack of a particular colour in human system and the imbalance could be restored by means of applying colour.

Course programme

Violet:

In colour therapy, violet colour is associated with one of the seven chakras located at the top portion of the head. Violet is considered as the colour of emotions and meditative ( thoughtfulness). It promotes enlightenment. Colour therapists use violet to soothe (calm/ease) organs, to relax muscles, and to claim the nervous system. A person with an excess of Violet colour will express fanaticism and domination.

Indigo :

The colour Indigo is linked with one of the chakras seated at the lower part of the forehead. Indigo is believed to have cooling and calming effects. It is applied in health treatment for eyes, ears and nose and mental problems. It is also used to treat addiction. A person with an excess of the colour Indigo will experience corruption, pride and arrogance.

Blue :

Blue colour is connected with one of the chakras positioned in the throat region. Blue is the colour of peace and infinity. it promotes communication and knowledge. The colour blue is said to have a very positive effect on all kinds of pain conditions. it eliminates toxins, and is used to treat liver disorders and jaundice. Excess of Blue colour in a person will bring about doubt, distrust, apathy, and melancholy.

Green :

Green colour is coupled with one of the chakras situated near the heart region. Since it is located in the middle of the colour spectrum, green colour is associated with a harmorizing (balance) effect. Colour therapists use this colour to treat bronchitis, whooping cough, inflammations of thejoints and swellings. A person with an excess of green colour will experience lethargy, lack of motivation, insecurity and jealousy
