This is a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course delivered to secondary school students and can only be completed as part of a VCE or VCAL program. This course is suitable if you are interested in working in the health care sector and becoming an allied health assistant. The two years of delivery gives you an opportunity to commence studies in the health field and experience a health environment through structured workplace learning.

You will be able to:

explore the many options available within community health and hospital environments
gain the skills and knowledge required to work as an allied health assistant in a diverse range of allied health fields.
Year 11 and 12 students who have an interest in pursuing a career in health or nursing.
This course provides training for assisting allied health professionals. The possible job outcomes of this course are:

Students will be required to complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment (LLN) prior to enrolment to ascertain the level of support required to complete the course. Students must be over the age of 15 years. The test is conducted at your school. Applications are made through participating schools only.
