This course is designed for learners aged 18 years and over and prepares learners to work with children between birth and 5 years (with knowledge of children up to 7 years). The qualification will enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills needed when working in the early years sector including professional practice, legislation and frameworks and child development.

About this course
You should have / be working towards GCSEs in maths and English at grade D or above. At a minimum you must be able to demonstrate positive communication skills and effective levels of reading, writing sufficient to meet the requirements of this training. All applicants must undertake an interview and apply for DBS clearance to demonstrate that they do not have a criminal background which might prevent them from working with young people or vulnerable adults.
