Unit 1 Overview of Wedding Planning

This lesson covers your introduction to becoming a wedding planner and covers general knowledge that you should know about wedding styles, degrees of planning, how much to charge, how to set the budget, ceremony styles, wedding tips etc.

We also interview important suppliers who are involved in the wedding process (who share their knowledge) including:

• Wedding Make-Up Artist,

• Leading Wedding Hairstylist

• Leading Wedding Florist

• Church Minister

Unit 2 Understanding Venues and Menus

In this Lesson we visit the Falls Function Centre and interview the manager about the insight wedding planners should consider in making a reception run smoothly.

We look at staffing levels pricing for food, bar and venue lighting requirements table configurations sound and audiovisual requirements, parking, booking times, deposits and payments required, bar etiquette, menu choices and photo opportunities.

Unit 3 Organising Music and Wedding Cars

In this lesson we interview and get advice from a professional wedding DJ and a leading wedding car hire company and discuss what important things to consider as a wedding planner.

The importance of the finer details can escape some wedding planners new to the industry, considerations such as how far in advance to book & how many hours to book the DJ for, working with the clients and DJ on a song list, how to find a great DJ also with Wedding Car company's finding an experienced operator, price versus quality, how to check the company's references. All of these details and more are cover in Lesson 3

Unit 4 Photography and Videography

In this lesson we get advice from a professional wedding DJ and a leading wedding car hire company and discuss what important things to consider as a wedding planner.

This is one of the most important areas that needs finer attention from wedding planners, learn how to choose a good photographer & videography, match your clients to your photographers style, understand pricing, timing and the packages available to inform and educate your clients, these are the services a professional wedding planner brings to their clients.

Unit 5 Wedding Planning & The 60 Point Planner

Your goal is to turn a wedding into a flowing memorable occasion. No matter what idea or concept, you can bring it to life with the full range of services you can offer for their special event.

On perhaps the biggest day of their lives, we don't leave anything to chance. Wedding planners will take care of all the details, such as the wedding music, photographer/videographer, food and drinks, locations for weddings ceremonies, etc.

This lesson covers the 60 planning steps a wedding planner should follow in chronological order to ensure every detail is attended to so the bride and groom can relax and enjoy the experience on their wedding day.

Unit 6 How to Organise The Timing

This lesson looks at the timing from twelve months right down to the day of the marriage and what happens on the actual day. To get the timing right we break it down into time periods and what needs to happen during that time.

You would have noticed that the first 4 lessons cover the essential services you will use as a wedding planner in 99% of your weddings, so we are teaching you the fundamentals (or skills) to build a strong foundation for your wedding planner business, through lessons 5&6 we are now developing a structure to "plug into" your skill set so you can bring all the necessary components together in an organised and professional and most importantly stress free service for the bride and groom.
