Overview At a glance Are you interested in a career as an Teacher Assistant or Educational Support worker? This course will give you the operational knowledge required for a Teacher Assistant to be employed within the education sector. The Education Support qualification readies future employees in varied educational settings, these being; State Schools, Independent Schools, Private Schools and Community Educational Services to provide support to teachers and students as necessitated. As part of the course there is a requisite to gain industry experience, one day per week, within the education sector. The Education Support qualification is comprised of seventeen (17) units, for each of these units there is a requirement for industry experience. Prior to any placement within the education sector it is mandatory that you have a Suitability Card (Blue Card). A high level of communication, the ability to access the internet and intermediate level of computer literacy is a prerequisite of this course.
