The products from these industries directly interact with society. Enabling cleaner and more rapid production of chemical products and intermediates will require chemical engineers with an enhanced knowledge of chemistry. The principal aim is to provide a sound understanding of chemical engineering to enable graduates to become professional Chartered Engineers. The Diploma in Industrial Training allows students the chance to work in the chemical and process industry before completing their final year(s) of study. The programme structure is the same as the MEng programme.
