Note 2: Students should take MAC 1105 (3) College Algebra to partially satisfy the math area requirement for General Education, as it is prerequisite to several of the above courses.

Admission Requirements to the Upper-Division Major
This is a limited access major; admission is competitive. Since access to clinical opportunities is limited, students must complete the following to be admitted: 1) a minimum FSU GPA of 2.50 or higher on a minimum of 12 hours, 2) successful completion of ATR 1800 and 3) must meet all technical standards for admission. Contact an academic advisor for details.

** Athletic Training is a “Limited Access” major, meaning that students must complete a separate application process for POSSIBLE admission into the program. *Formal acceptance into the major occurs ONLY in the Spring semester.* Transfer students are STRONGLY encouraged to apply for the Spring semester only as major courses are restricted to formally accepted students. **

In order to graduate with a degree in Athletic Training, students must have a minimum FSU overall GPA of 2.50 and a grade of “C minus“ or higher in all required courses.

Students must demonstrate the ability to orally transmit ideas and information clearly. This requirement may be met with an approved college-level course.
