Science-educated professionals are in demand in areas including research and management in government, academia or industry; biochemistry, environmental science; pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemistry, forensics; laboratory analytical services, quality control, synthesis; product development; sales and marketing. You may work as an analytical chemist, enzyme chemist, organic chemist, biochemistry research scientist or product release analyst. About this course
Chemists create new and useful materials and products, protect the environment and fight disease. You’ll understand matter and energy and their interactions with each other, and combine research and application to expand current practices and improve quality of life. Program highlights include access to fully equipped labs, an optional independent laboratory research project and a paid co-op option. You’ll also have the chance to further customize your degree with a specialization in Applied Physics or an optional specialization in Management Sciences.
Typically, a minimum overall average of 70% establishes eligibility for admission consideration; subject to competition individual programs may require higher prerequisite grades and/or higher overall averages:
