This programme is taught using a range of lectures, laboratory practical's, seminars, case studies and student-led presentations. You will be assessed through a combination of exams and coursework.This programme is primarily aimed at people who are employed or wish to seek employment in a chemical or related area. The programme will provide you with a broad knowledge of chemistry and associated practical skills in order for you to become competent to practice in a range of professional environments and to progress to degrees in chemistry. The aims of the programme are: To provide students with a broad knowledge of chemistry and associated practical skills in order for them to become competent to practice in a range of professional environments or to progress to higher degrees in chemistry. To develop the ability to apply chemistry skills and knowledge to the solution of theoretical and practical problems in chemistry. To develop transferable skills which will be of value both during the programme and in later employment.. The FdSc Chemistry is taught part-time, one day per week at the Medway Campus. About this course

Applicants should have prior knowledge and skills equivalent to certain qualifications. In addition, applicants must be either employed or recently employed (within three years) in a chemistry related industry. Standard entry requirements are given below:A minimum of 72 UCAS points from A level and AS level examinations. (Applicants must have an A level in chemistry). Applicants are also required to have passed (grade C or above) the General Certificate in Secondary Education examinations (or their General Certificate in Secondary Education equivalent) in English and
