This chemistry apprenticeship targets the needs of the chemical industry. As well as covering essential subject areas such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and physical chemistry, study includes training in laboratory practice.
The course meets the Laboratory Scientist Standard and is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry. These professional endorsements indicate that graduates will have the ability to work at a high level in scientific environments.

About this course
Applicants should have prior knowledge and skills equivalent to certain qualifications. In addition, applicants must be either employed or recently employed (within three years) in a chemistry related industry. Standard entry requirements are given below:
A minimum of 80 UCAS points from A level and AS level examinations. (Applicants must have an A level in chemistry). Applicants are also required to have passed (grade C or above) the General Certificate in Secondary Education examinations (or their General Certificate in Secondary Education equivalent) in English and mathematics.
