The IGCSE assessment consists of one written examination (2hrs - 100 marks), and two coursework tasks as follows:
Paper 2: Child Development Study. You will need to submit a report/record of your first-hand experience of studying one child or a group of children aged up to 5 years. You cannot overlap any subject matter with the Paper 3 task.
Paper 3: Practical Investigation. You will need to research and present your findings on either an investigation using a range of procedures from any area of the syllabus, or a comparative study of consumer items such as baby foods, picture books, toys. You will need to produce a booklet or leaflet which could be used to explain your findings to a parent or any other interested party. You cannot overlap any subject matter with the Paper 2 task.
