Summary
This course is designed to help students build the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people.
This course introduces students to the childcare sector. To obtain the Early Years Educator license to practice students must successfully complete this course and progress onto the level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
It is run over two days per week in addition to 3 days of work placement which are integral to the course and will provide opportunities for students to develop their confidence, self-esteem and practical skills in a range of settings, such a schools, nurseries and children's centres.

This course also requires 400 hours of work placement per year in a variety of settings
