This course explores the cultural worlds of childhood, addressing constructions for and by children, childhood over time, and the languages of childhood. Building on UWE Bristol's expertise in childhood, education and the arts, it will include a consideration of art, literature, film and media from the perspectives of adults and children.
Offered as a part-time course of study, this Masters is designed to fit around full-time employment.
Students will be offered assessment choices within the set modules to create a bespoke course that reflects their own interests and work contexts. You will also have the opportunity to engage in an empirical research project or workplace-related project, fostering strong links between study and practice.
Throughout the course, you will have the chance to develop connections with fellow students and the many cultural and educational organisations across Bristol, including the City Campus partnerships.

The course will be delivered through seminars, group-work, online engagement, directed learning and project supervision.
