Children's Play, Learning and Development (Level 2 Diploma)

Course content Throughout your studies, you will spend four days at College and one day a week on a work placement. Our students really enjoy and benefit from the combination of practical and classroom-based learning. Placements include nurseries, pre-schools, baby rooms and school settings. The skills and values needed in the sector are embedded throughout this course. You will learn how to work with children and study how they develop. This course focuses on the early years (0-8 years of age) but also explores child development until the age of 16. Areas of study include child development, play and learning, communication with children and adults and safeguarding. Life after Henley Last year students went on to various destinations including moving on to courses at Level 3.
