A choreographer has the task of devising choreographies to animate shows and works in collaboration with dancers, actors, athletes and extras. Choreography is the art of composing dances and ballets, mainly for the stage, by means of steps and figurations. Already in the primitive dances the precursors of the choreographic art were traced, with the figures of the circle and the open line that allowed organized collective dances. Just think of the spiral circle typical of ecstatic dances, while celebratory dances preferred dances in parallel rows or in chains. In the twentieth century the phenomenon that reinvented choreography by evolving it in a modern key was that of the Ballets Russes by Sergej Djagilev and Michail Fokin in 1914 has the principles of the modern choreographer summarized in a sort of 'unitary discourse' in which the choreography included a strong osmosis with mimicry, dance, music, costumes and scenography. Many authors have expressed themselves about dance, let's recall some of them. Richard Wagner made only one essential reform.
