The Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) is the largest professional credit management organisation in Europe.
The CICM Level 3 Diploma aims to provide credit management techniques, as well as a general business education that covers management skills, and relevant aspects of accountancy, law and the business environment.

Course programme

The CICM Level 3 Diploma in Credit Management aims to give students a credit management overview along with the tools and techniques used in a credit environment. The qualification also considers relevant aspects of accountancy, law and the business environment. Further information on the syllabus can be found on the CICM website: http://www.cicm.com/learning-development/which-qualification/credit-management/ The modules currently offered at Leeds City College are: Credit Management - Trade, Consumer and Export Business Law Business Environment Accounting Principles Other modules can be offered as demand requires. To achieve a Level 3 Diploma you must achieve 37 credits. On successful completion of each of the above module, you will receive 10 credits towards the 37 credits needed for the diploma. Exemptions may be granted against these modules, for appropriate qualifications you may already hold. You will need to apply directly to CICM if you feel that you are eligible for an exemption. The course team comprises of experience academics and practitioners. Specialist subjects are delivered by staff with relevant practical experience in the subject area, who will deliver a mixture of lectures, class based activities, case studies and class discussions. Guest speakers are also introduced to the classes to gain real life insight in to the subjects. There are no entry requirements, exemptions may be granted by the awarding body for appropriate qualifications. You must be a member of CICM before sitting the examination. Students having achieved a Level 3 Diploma can progress on to the Level 5 Diploma in Credit Management.
