It offers an awareness of legislation, health, safety, welfare, the workplace and workplace equipment, risk assessment, manual handling, hazardous substances, ergonomics and workstation design, transport and vehicles and noise and vibration.
The course is certified by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

The course is tested via a multiple-choice, tick box examination. The completed exam papers are sent to the CIEH for marking and certificates are then returned to ourselves for successful candidates, usually within 10/15 working days. Exam papers are available in a variety of languages or and oral version for anyone who would prefer them. We would need to know around 4 weeks in advance if this is required to allow for delivery.
