Course programme

Certificate in Housing Level 2

The Level 2 certificate offers an introductory qualification which is suitable for a wide range of people at a variety of levels. It is the equivalent of a GCSE or NVQ level 2, providing relevant skills, knowledge and understanding enabling individuals to work effectively in Housing. It is particularly suitable for Housing Assistants and tenants and acts as a relevant induction framework for employees new to the Housing Sector.

The Certificates are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing, and offer a variety of organisational benefits:

• With the use of learning agreements, the programme can offer the same benefits of retention derived from other forms of traditional education.
• The programme will equip staff members with key skills and professional knowledge to enable organisations to perform more effectively in an increasingly competitive environment.
• Successful completion of the programme will generate professional, competent employees who are better able to help organisations meet targets for audit and review.
• Customer Service skills will be developed, which in turn will improve the relationship between staff and customers.
• Interdepartmental communication will be improved, with delegates from different teams or departments forming learning networks.
• Through the programme, organisations can also set up action learning sets to address failures in service delivery.
