Legal Text Processing - This Legal Text Processing course has been created by CILEx (The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) for those of you seeking to start your career in a legal office as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Paralegal. The course, which can be studied from home or work, will introduce you to the various forms of documentation, terminology and processes associated with six different legal specialisms such as Family Law, Criminal Litigation and Conveyancing.

Working in the Legal Environment - This course has been put together in collaboration with CILEx with the aim of helping anyone looking to work in a Legal office, as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal. You’ll also gain a prestigious You’ll cover topics such as the different organisational structures of a legal office, the UK judicial system, how to organise resources and manage time effectively in a legal environment, the different types of correspondence and much more. It’s a great choice to not only achieve a prestigious Pitman Training Certificate but also have the opportunity to go on and gain a CILEx/City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Working in the Legal Environment qualification.

Legal Audio Processing - In this course you’ll look at six different legal specialisms including Family Law, Conveyancing and Criminal Litigation, and gain an understanding of the documentation that requires to be transcribed in each area. Throughout you’ll be learning the abbreviations and terminology used within the legal environment and be able to confidently walk into a legal office and be able to start your professional legal administration career with ease. Effective Business Communication - In this course over six modules you’ll begin by looking at the definition of effective business communication, the use of appropriate language and tone, how to plan your communication and the forms of written communication. You’ll also cover face-to-face communication, how to communicate effectively by phone, presentation skills and listening skills. Finally, you’ll look at online communication and how to effectively communicate online focusing on email, texts, online conferencing and more.
