The Level 1 Award in Logistics and Transport has been designed to offer an entry-level overview and a basic insight into the logistics and transport industry.

It also introduces students to different types of written communications, teaching them skills to draw information from a variety of documents.

There is currently a huge skills shortage in the industry resulting in the sector needing to recruit 900,000 individuals leading up to 2020.

Course programme

The Qualification comprises of three mandatory units:

  • Introduction to Logistics - Providing the student with an overview of the general practices in the working environment.

Transport and Distribution In Logistics - Introduces the student to the vital role played by logistics, it will also show how distribution of goods is key to logistics.

  • Introduction to Business

Communications - Introduces the student to a variety of business communications, including letters, emails, reports and presentations.
