What will I do?

This course consists of six units, including:

  • Developing yourself as an HR practitioner
  • Resourcing talent
  • Understanding organisations and the role of HR
  • Performance and reward
  • Managing the employment relationship
  • Using HR information.

Through these units you will learn to:

  • Develop the skills needed in personnel work
  • Gain an introduction to the work of the personnel department
  • Assess the personnel function’s contribution to achieving organisational goals
  • Prepare and conduct face-to-face interviews
  • Use assessment and evaluation techniques
  • Recognise the practical relevance of your organisation’s policies and procedures.
  • Give basic feedback
  • Provide an awareness of the context of personnel functions and key issues that impact on personnel issues
  • Be confident in all areas vital to effective and efficient recruitment and selection.
