Content * Unit 1; Communication and Employability Skills for IT. By the end of this unit, learners will have had the opportunity to identify and consider their own set of skills and, where necessary, improve them. * Unit 2: Computer Systems. Most IT practitioners will at some time have to set up, use , customise and maintain a computer system or systems. They will need to understand the components and how the software and hardware interact. Although Microsoft dominates the market, it is not the o nly operating system and learners should explore at least one other. The CISCO components - Units 3 - 6. CCNA Exploration. The CCNA Exploration curriculum is composed of four courses: * Network Fundamentals * Routing Protocols and Concepts * LAN Switching and Wireless * Accessing the WAN Assessment To complete the BTEC qualification you will need to pass the assignments for units 1 and 2 and achieve a minimum score of 70% on the online exams at the end of each Cisco semester (4). The CCNA qualification is achieved by passing the CCNA certification exam that has to be taken at a VUE assessment centre. Progression Cisco CCNP ( Not currently offered by Tresham)
