Previous knowledge of the IEE Wiring Regulations is not assumed, but a fundamental knowledge of electrical principles is expected. For this reason, this course is more suited to those with electrical knowledge or training, or who have passed previous electrician courses. There is an update course available for those who have completed a 16th Edition course after June 2001. This is called the City and Guilds 17th Edition - 2382-20 Wiring Regulations Update Course and is only 2 days.

This Electrical training course is the City and Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Full 2382-10 course and is a classroom based course, with no practical work involved.

It focuses on the BS 7671 2008 regulations and IEE on-site guide, covering details such as the scope and object of the regulations, safety, isolating and switching, terminology and definitions, shock protection, earthing and bonding, inspection and testing and more. The course will prepare you to sit the City and Guilds 2382 examination.
