This qualification is intended to provide the delegate with an introduction to initial verification (inspecting and testing new works as well as alterations to and additions to an existing installation).
The course is aimed at:
• practicing electricians who have carried out very little inspection and testing since they qualified;
• those who need update training before moving onto higher level Inspection and Testing courses;
• those who have limited experience of inspection and testing who are entering the industry from other engineering disciplines or who are working in allied trades.
This qualification prepares delegates for the Initial Verification of electrical installation work. Combined with suitable on-site experience, it would prepare the delegate to go on to other City and Guilds Awards in inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
