The Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is an occupational qualification for learners who work in Adult Care Settings in England and is applicable to variety of roles, where workers have key responsibilities for delivery of care and support and /or a level of supervisory responsibility for others such as:

• Lead Adult Care Worker • Lead Personal Assistant • Key Worker • Domiciliary Care Worker • Senior Care Assistant • Support Worker

About this course

You must be employed in a senior role for at least 15 hours per week and be taking some responsibilities within your setting.

Previous achievement of a level 2 is preferred but not essential if you have the correct senior role.

City & Guilds

On successful completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Lead Adult Care, you could progress onto the Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care subject to working in a suitable senior role.

Course programme

Course Content

You will attend college classes once a month for 15-18 months for the knowledge based requirements of the qualification, and will be expected to complete written assignments outside of college attendance on an online portfolio. These written assignments meet the mandatory and option unit requirements as set out by the exam board. You will also be observed in practice by a qualified assessor.
