What you need to know
How will I study?

You will follow a study programme consisting of English, Maths, Work Experience, Enrichment activities and your Barbering qualification. The skills developed by the learner include: Numeracy, Literacy, Health and Safety, Client consultation, Promote and sell products and services to clients, Reception duties, Creative image, Human resources, Display stock to promote sales, Shaving, Scalp massage, Cut men's hair, Cut facial hair.
How will I be taught?

The delivery of this course will be in the training work shops and the Barber shop. The delivery of this course will be a combination of demonstrations, practical sessions, structured theory delivery, group work, self-directed study, classroom discussions, research and lectures. External guest speakers are invited in throughout the year.
How will I be assessed?

Practical skills will be assessed through observation and feedback. Theory knowledge will be assessed through a combination of written assignments, on-line exams, oral questioning and presentations. English and Mathematics will be through an external examination.
